Project Glidepath 2.0 Release now available

After 3 months of experience with the Project Glidepath Technical Preview, we have now released Project Glidepath 2.0!

It contains many additional features and facilities including multiple factories and better support for VB.Net along with C#.

Information regarding downloading Project Glidepath 2.0 is found here.

Full details of the changes incorporated into Project Glidepath 2.0 are found here.

We will be recording screencasts of the new features shortly and will post a entry on this blog when they are available.

Note: With Project Glidepath 2.0 you will also be able to watch/listen to screencasts and podcasts directly within Visual Studio using the Glidepath Console feature!

Re: Project Glidepath 2.0 Release now available

I installed (and uninstalled) all software packages as outlined in the documentation. When I want to start a new project, I'm only shown the .Net 3.0 Project Templates in VS. There's no Glidepath Project templates and ALL .net 2.0 Templates have vanished too (which unnerves me more...). I already tried "devenv /installvstemplates" to reset Studio but it did not work. Does somebody know what to do to get all templates back plus show the new Glidepath project(s)?

    Regards

    Mike

Do you see the Guidance Package project type?

Re: Project Glidepath 2.0 Release now available

No, I can't see this project type. But I managed to show all other poject types (the .net 2.0 ones) when I moved them from the 1033 folder to the main template folder. I forgot to mention that I use the german language version of Visual Studio 2005 and there seems to be a problem with multi-language versions.

(I moved all subfolders and files from ..\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE\ProjectTemplatesCache\VisualBasic\Windows\1033 to ..\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE\ProjectTemplatesCache\VisualBasic\Windows and also from ..\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE\ProjectTemplates\VisualBasic\Windows to ..\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE\ProjectTemplates\VisualBasic\Windows and after executing "devenv /installvstemplates" and restarting VS the entries showed up again)

Thank you for that feedback, I will investigate with the Guidance Automation Team regarding non-English VS2005 SKUs.
